The Needlers—Third Saturday of the Month
So God created mankind in his own image,
in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.”
Genesis 1:27
Pulling out your hair!!

We’ve all heard the expression Pulling Out Your Hair.  The Urban Dictionary gives this definition:   To be very anxious about something.
“When they weren’t home by midnight, I was pulling my hair out”

Well, in quilting there is an expression “Always Straighten the Grain”.  Quite often we get a piece of material, and it looks straight and perfect, until we start to work with it, so we try to straighten it.  In our Needlers meeting this past week we talked about this, and we all laughed and could relate to doing it!

Isn’t life kind of like that?  We deal with things every single day that aren’t perfect – people we meet, people we love, a meal we prepared, a “to do” list that doesn’t get finished…..I could go on and on!  Most of the time, no matter what we do, no matter how hard we try to “Straighten the Grain” it’s just not going to be perfect.  Fortunately, God didn’t create us to be perfect.  If we were perfect, what would be the need for Jesus?  We were created to need Jesus. God crafted us to reflect His image, not create our own.  Once again, God reminds us that He is perfect, so we don’t have to be!
